Indoor board
Southwood offers indoor board in large box stalls. Each stall has a window which makes them bright and airy. Each stall is cleaned daily and bedded on shavings. Grain is fed twice per day and supplemesnts can be fed free of charge if they are provided by the boarder. Daily turnout is in large paddocks with shelter and paddocks are rotated weekly so grass never gets run down. Round bales are provided in the winter. Use of the large 60x170 arena is included with indoor board. You are welcome to bring your own vet and farrier (or use ours) but since there is a certified instructor on site we do not allow for outside coaches at this time. Horses are checked daily and minor cuts/injuries are treated or you will be notified if there are more serious problems. All of the horses are on the same worming schedule at Southwood which is done every 10-12 weeks at an additional cost. Indoor board is being offered at $350 a month.
Pasture Board
Horses out on pasture always have access to the large run in shelter. Paddocks are rotated weekly so grass does not get run down. Large round bales are provided in the winter. Pasture horses are checked daily for minor cuts/injuries and are treated with basic first aid. Should something more serious happen you will be contacted.
