About Southwood Stables
Southwood Stables is a new boarding and lesson Stables. It features an 18 stall barn, with a large 60X170 arena situated on 100 acres of rolling hills. Southwood stables is committed to creating well-rounded equine athletes in all aspects of riding and horse care. They strive to achieve these equine athletes by allowing learning to take place in a fun, clean, friendly and safe environment. Southwood realizes that not all horses and riders are the same. Therefore by creating individualized programs for each horse and rider they will then be able to achieve their maximum performance goals.
About the owner
Southwood is run by Kait Whittle a certified instructor with Equine Canada, as well as a certified therapeutic riding assistant instructor with CanTRA. Kait has been teaching for 3 years and has spent her whole life working around horses. She has also managed many barns as well as been the head riding instructor at two other farms. Kait is primarily a dressage instructor but does offer hunter/jumper lessons to those interested.
